Creating positive change in society through a trauma-informed lens

We strongly believe in The Community Cure-that being part of a community can be extremely beneficial for your health.

Having set up and run a Community Hub from scratch in the Kingsbrook area of Bedford, Stacy came up against some challenges due to the organisation she was working for no longer wanting to provide services and insisting on commissioning the already popular service to an organisation from outside of the area.
This left Stacy with the dreaded prospect of letting her service users, service providers and the community as a whole down with no notice.  The Community Hub had been closed with immediate effect.
Although Stacy explained that she had a CIC of her own and the relevant insurances etc, the organisation refused to let her keep running it.
She immediately went to work, gathering the community she had built and finding ways for the Hub to continue as closely to how it had been originally run.  The community came through for her and within three days, a hall had been booked, the service providers notified and goods and food purchased that meant the show could go on!
Now you are up to speed!  We are working as a team-a community-to ensure we are still providing the community with the service they need and want so badly and are starting from scratch.
